Reaching and Walking with Women Inmates
Daughters of Destiny is a full-circle ministry dedicated to walking the spiritual journey with women and teen girls while inside the concrete walls of their correctional facility as well as continuing their path in Christ when released. This commitment is necessary if their introduction to a loving Savior, Jesus Christ, is to be more than an emotional experience they encounter at some event while incarcerated. They must have a life changing experience and be provided the tools necessary to grow in their new relationship with Christ. They must have such a deep transformation occur, that they will be a new creation when they make their transition home. This is what the full-circle ministry provides and what most distinguishes Daughters of Destiny from all other prison ministries. Daughters of Destiny provides life-long mentoring for these precious Daughters.
The Daughters Network is comprised of individuals, churches, fellowship groups, and organizations representing the lampstand that guides the path for these women and teen girls once back in the community. This crucial yet often forgotten transitional time will determine the lasting success of these Daughters. Without the ongoing support of passionate people of faith, these Daughters can slip back into old ways as they face the difficult challenges in front of them. They need encouragement, prayer, and fellowship so they can mature in their knowledge of Christ as they encounter negativity and temptation from unchanged influences that most likely will question and challenge the life in Christ they chose while incarcerated. These positive influences must exist in order for the enthusiastic commitment they made to remain alive.
